Description

The AL-V708S combines a 17″ LED-backlit SXGA display, a 104-key keyboard and a touchpad with an 8-port VGA/USB KVM switch in a single 1U sliding drawer. Eight computers connect directly and cascade expansion extends control to 128 computers, while a rear VGA and dual-USB group provides an external local console at the back of the rack — full rack-level control from one rack unit.

High-Density Deployment

  • 17″ LED-backlit SXGA display, keyboard and touchpad in one 1U drawer.
  • Slide-out rails: 800 – 1040 mm rack installation range. Self-locking rails hold the drawer closed when not in use. 18 W total power consumption for console and switch.

Dual Console Access · S Series

  • Rear HDB-15 port drives an external monitor at the rack.
  • Two rear USB ports accept an external keyboard and mouse. Provides an external local console without adding a rack unit. Both console positions are directly attached at the rack.

Switching & Control

  • Computer selection by OSD, push-button or hotkey.
  • Hotkeys on Scroll Lock, Caps Lock, Num Lock or the OSD. Auto Scan: sequential computer scan, configured via OSD. Keyboard state is stored and restored on switchover.
  • Full DDC2B — monitor data read even on non-selected ports.

Scale & Compatibility

  • 8 direct computer ports; cascade expansion reaches 128. SXGA 1280 × 1024 @ 75 Hz with 16.7 million colors.
  • Dual-interface PS/2 and USB keyboard-mouse connection. Supports Microsoft Windows, Linux and Unix environments.

Installation & Service

  • 19″ mounting hangers supplied; 650 / 750 mm customizable.
  • Rail extension travel 85 mm; 380 mm opened unit height. Single-person installation and removal.
